The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour begins when we take off from the domestic terminal at Tribhuvan International Airport, in the Kathmandu Valley. Before heading to Lukla, the entrance to Mount Everest, the plane does a loop around the valley. The helicopter's aerial perspective highlights the striking sceneries, beautiful rolling hills covered in farm fields, and pleasing mountains in the distance. Arriving at Lukla Airport further renews the flight experience. The aircraft makes a brief spin before landing at the Lukla Airport's airstrip to refuel. Here, you'll get your first introduction to Sherpa culture. In the Everest region, Buddhism and associated traditions are practiced by the vast majority of the population.
We fly higher overflying Everest after a little break and a few flight procedures before landing at Kala Patthar as requested by the client. Prior to ultimately touching down at Kala Patthar at a height of 5450 meters, our courageous pilots will check to make sure that all safety procedures have been done and will inspect the helicopter. You'll be met right away with a 360-degree panorama of the Nuptse-Lhotse-Lola summits, complete with Khumbu Ice Falls, glaciers, and Mt. Pumori. You are welcome to take photos to send home if you choose, but we advise our visitors to experience the beautiful surroundings and environment in person.
